Portuguese League against Rheumatic Diseases activities from January to March 2018

Between January and March 2018, the activities of the Portuguese League against Rheumatic Diseases (LPCDR) were focused on providing information regarding the possibility of switching to Biosimilar medicines for patients with RMDs. In this context, LPCDR announced its proposals upon a Guide document that was published in early February by the Portuguese National Committee of Pharmacy and Therapy and participated in a meeting organised by the Portuguese National Association of Hospital Pharmacists. Moreover, LPCDR attented a meeting that took place at the College of Physicians, where other patients’ organisations which represent people who are prescribed with biologic therapies, also attended. Finally, LPCDR aims to produce a position paper about Biologic and Biossimilars by the end of March.
