Prof Xenofon Baraliakos, based in Germany, is a Full Professor of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at Ruhr University Bochum. With a remarkable career as a rheumatologist and researcher, he has made significant contributions to the study of axial spondylarthritis and related conditions and has published over 400 papers in peer-reviewed journals. In 2023, he was elected as the President-elect of EULAR and is the EULAR President since June 2025.
