Souzi Makri, based in Cyprus, is a patient advocate and expert in medical innovation, dedicated to amplifying the patient voice in healthcare decision-making. Having been involved with EULAR since 2009 in various capacities, she trained as a Patient Research Partner in 2013. Since then, she has supported EULAR Task Forces and participated in EU consortia to represent the patient perspective. With extensive experience collaborating with regulatory bodies such as the European Medicines Agency (EMA), she bridges the gap between patients, researchers, and policymakers to drive patient-centred innovation in rheumatology and beyond.
