Aims of AGORA

Provide member organizations representing people with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases in Southern European countries with a stronger voice at a national and European level.

Encourage and assist in the foundation and development towards user-led organizations of people with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases in Southern Europe

Promote supportive attitudes towards rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases and enable patients to live independent and participate fully in society.

Our History

In November 2008, three inspired members of EULAR PARE Sandra Canadelo, Marios Kouloumas and. Birgitta Blokland, who also represent Southern European countries during Eular Pare Autumn conference in Budapest took the initiative to call an informal meeting with representatives from Italy, Malta, Greece, Cyprus, Portugal and Spain and put forward the idea of a platform of organizations of people with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases in South Europe following the good example set by Nordic Council.
